The Role

Invoke Creative Agency seeks a dynamic Senior Event Manager to spearhead the planning and execution of prestigious events. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management capabilities to deliver events that fulfil company objectives and surpass client expectations. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The tasks involved in the job will include, but won’t be exclusive to:

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Lead the planning and execution of medium-large-scale events, including private events, corporate, fundraising and special events.

  • Develop innovative event concepts, themes, and formats in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

  • Create comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless event delivery.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the event planning process.

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback to enhance future events.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of event coordinators and support staff.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, fostering collaboration.

  • Promote a positive and productive work environment.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within financial constraints.

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal rates and terms.

  • Monitor and report on event expenses and financial performance.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement event marketing strategies.

  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials, including invitations, brochures, and social media content.

  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event communications.

Logistics and Operations:

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Manage on-site issues or emergencies during events.

Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to assess event success.

  • Analyse feedback and data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Use insights to refine future event strategies.

Compliance and Legal Considerations:

  • Ensure all events comply with relevant laws, regulations, and permits.

  • Address legal and compliance issues as they arise.

Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in event management.

  • Integrate new technologies and ideas to enhance event experiences.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience as an Event Manager or in a similar role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva.

  • Exceptional project management and organisational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with event management software and tools.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative event concepts.

  • Proven leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively.

  • Excellent negotiation and budget management capabilities.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
